Graphic violence
Set during World War II, war violence is shown. There are scenes of bombings, gun violence, physical altercations, beatings, and bloody injuries. There are references of torture happening to characters as well as to Jewish people in general.
In one scene, a character is shot point blank in the stomach. In another scene, a character is shot in the back of the head after being interrogated and tortured offscreen.
Cruelty
German boys are put through rigorous training camps and are severely bullied. The bullying is often violent and humiliating for the young boys.
Slurs are used throughout the series, especially against Jewish people.
Sexual references
There is one scene where a French sex-worker begins unbuttoning her dress. Her work is discussed briefly and without any detail about what she does.
