Fireheart

What’s it about?

It’s the 1930s and Georgia has always dreamed of being the world’s first female firefighter despite being told that women aren’t allowed. Firemen across New York City start to disappear, and her father is called out of retirement to lead the investigation. Georgia takes this as her chance to join the Fire Department and disguises herself as a man called “Joe” but quickly learns it’s going to take a lot more than a disguise to stop the serial arsonist.

Why did it get this rating?

This film was self-rated by Netflix. You can find out more about self-rating by streaming providers here.

Scary scenes

While the movie is about firefighters the serial arsonist uses chemicals that makes a purple smoke to hypnotise people and not real fire. Some characters dangle from a great height. This won’t be scary for most children but is worth checking in with your child before pressing play.

Sad scenes

A character finds out that their parents died in a fire when they were young.
